DESCRIPTION:
In his continued exploration of objects we discard once we've extracted their wealth, Lee Noble's stoneware oyster shells are glazed green or silver and tarnished in a backyard bonfire, the remnants of a regrettable feast.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Lee Noble (b. 1983) is an interdisciplinary visual artist, musician, and performer who works in painting, installation, albums, zines, and printmaking. Adopting a philosophy of improvised collage, Lee privileges nonhierarchical collaboration and an urgent entanglement with the materials and media that make up our world.

His visual work has been exhibited in Los Angeles, Austin, Minneapolis, New York, Manchester, and Berkeley, and in publications by Picturebox Inc., Thames & Hudson, Spector Books, and Secret Headquarters.
