Akin to an urban archeologist, Hannah Lee Hall embellishes her work with detritus collected across the urban cityscape. Evoking Arakawa and Gins’ theory on architecture, Hall’s Internal Light (2026) emphasizes porosity between the body and its environment through an open structure built with paper pulp.

Hannah Lee Hall is a visual artist based in St. Paul, Minnesota. Mining the visual languages of the terrestrial and the visceral she creates layered, highly textural abstractions. Cyclical themes of growth, decay and renewal are central to her work.
